READING
The book in my bag
A few pages can turn waiting into a place of its own.
A small paperback is easier to carry than a promise to read more. It needs no charging cable, no signal and no particular setting. A bench or a quiet corner is enough.
I rarely finish a chapter in one sitting outside. Instead, the book gathers the texture of interrupted moments: a train arriving, a friend waving, a cup being set down.
Reading this way is slow, but that is part of its appeal. A sentence has time to follow me into the rest of the day.
